The beaches on the south-east coast of Spain are considered to be amongst the best beaches in Spain. You can find here many different beaches and peaceful bays. Many of these beaches have been crowned with a Blue Flag that is attributed every year by the European Foundation for Environmental Education to the beaches with the best conditions and facilities.
The closest beach is the Bolnuevo beach, which is only 7 minutes’ drive away. This is a very peaceful beach; mass tourism hasn’t arrived here yet. There are many quiet bays and beaches to be found, and there are also several naturist beaches. Bolnuevo has plenty of facilities such as supermarkets and bars and restaurants.
The centre of Puerto de Mazarrón lays approximately a 5 to 10 minutes’ drive away and has a lively boulevard. These beach resorts and the rest of the Costa Calida are unspoilt by tourism.
